Freedom Travel Africa is a Non-Profit Company created by myself (Mr Solomon Okine) in 2001 the main ideology is to response to poverty and inequality in society. The work of Freedom Travel Africa focuses on building sustainable Partnerships, Capacity Building, Public Policy and Advocacy, and providing support and guidance to individuals looking forward to migrate to overseas for a better life.
At our recent Strategic Planning Freedom Travel Africa decided to change the last word in our full name from Health, Opportunity, Partnership, Employment to Empowerment. This was done to reflect what our work is currently all about. While we feel that employment is important, we rather empower and equip people with the necessary skill to find employment.
Key activities: building the capacity of the faith leaders and communities to address their challenges, care for orphaned and vulnerable children and youth, care and support for victims and survivors of sexual and gender based violence, food security and household sustainability, create responses to health issues including HIV and Aids and other health threatening diseases and conditions, initiatives and programs that support the empowerment of women in communities and society.
